16th Legislative District: Profile

The 16th Suffolk County Legislative District (L.D.) includes Centerport, Deer Park, East Northport, Greenlawn, Melville, North Babylon, Dix Hills and Elwood.

The district is bounded roughly by Main Street-Route 25A to the North, Larkfield Road and Belmont Avenue to the east, Sunrise Highway to the south, and East New York Avenue and Park Avenue to the west.

It consists of (68) election districts (E.D.s) with 50,627 registered voters. The 16th L.D. has 19 E.D.s in the Town of Babylon, 49 E.D.s in the Town of Huntington.
